Our XYQ series mufflers meet the noise reduction and soundproofing requirements for steam exhaust from various sized boilers, safety valve exhaust, and intake of boiler forced-air blowers. They are also widely used in the steam exhaust and noise reduction discharge of boilers in industries such as petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy, and textile, helping to meet industrial noise standards. Compressed Air Silencer Applications and Product Features

Safety door compressed air silencer is mainly used for effectively silencing high-temperature and high-pressure steam exhaust from safety valves, PCV valves, and exhaust valves in industries such as power, chemical, and metallurgy.

For boiler safety valves and exhaust valves, it can be considered as a component of the pipeline. After acoustic processing internally, it can reduce the generation and transmission of noise, making the noise reduction at the outlet reach 20∽30 decibels (A-weighted), with a corresponding loudness reduction of over 60%, resulting in a significant subjective effect. When designing an exhaust silencer for safety valves, the following three aspects should be considered:

1. After silencing, excessive noise should be avoided, and the noise reduction should meet the requirements of the "Industrial Enterprises Noise Hygiene Standard."

2. Mufflers should be rustproof, clog-resistant, and able to withstand high temperatures, pressures, and high airflow.

3. The exhaust volume and backpressure ratio of the silencer should be suitable for the smooth exhaust of the safety valve's steam flow.

Section 2: Principle of Compressed Air Muffler

The compressed air silencer employs the noise reduction principle of through-hole spraying and resistance, replacing the micro-porous perforated plate type with large-hole expansion and flow control. It ensures the smooth exhaust of the safety valve by structurally prioritizing this principle. It utilizes multi-level perforated sound absorption and combines it with the resistive noise reduction principle. This allows steam sound waves to enter the numerous small holes of the porous sound-absorbing material, exciting the vibration of the porous material molecules. This transforms the sound energy into heat energy as it overcomes frictional resistance and viscosity, achieving the ideal noise reduction effect and ensuring the smooth exhaust of steam.

When ordering mufflers, the following information is required:

(1) Safety valve exhaust flow rate (T/h), set pressure, temperature.

(2) Exhaust pipe outer diameter, wall thickness

(3) Structure options include small-hole or anti-spray resistance composite. Generally, users choose the composite type silencer for its superior noise reduction performance; the internal material is made of stainless steel, and the housing material is carbon steel; the connection can be either welded or flanged; the support legs can be either leg-style or ear-style.

TB Type Exhaust Muffler, TB indicates Muffler with Sound Attenuating Enclosure (Compound Type), filled with sound-absorbing cotton. Gases enter from the bottom inlet and exit from the top. Due to the sound-absorbing cotton filling, it is suitable for pressures up to 6.4 Mpa; otherwise, the filling may be blown out. The housing is made of carbon steel, suitable for temperatures up to 300 degrees.

3 Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler

One, Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler Application:

This series of silencers is primarily used for effective noise reduction in power, chemical, metallurgical, mining, and textile industry boiler steam emissions, gas emissions, and fan equipment.

Section II: Features of Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler:

1. Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler

To suppress the noise emitted by high-pressure gas flow, this type of muffler is designed based on a comprehensive and reasonable noise reduction principle. After passing through a controlled flow inside the muffler, the gas enters a pressure-reducing chamber where it is expanded to a large volume, thereby forming a low-pressure gas flow that is then ejected. During this process, a portion of the gas flow's internal energy is converted into sound energy of certain frequencies, resulting in a significant reduction in noise power. However, due to various factors such as exhaust deviation from the design value, the noise may still exceed the standard value. To address this, a double-layered sound-insulating cover is designed around the pressure-reducing chamber, tailored to the spectral characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the chamber, for effective absorption of the remaining noise. Upon installation in accordance with the requirements, the total noise reduction can reach 36 to 42 decibels.

2. Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler

For safety doors of gas emission devices, the exhaust should avoid excessive noise and ensure smooth airflow. Therefore, the commonly used methods of multi-stage throttling and small hole injection for noise reduction are not suitable. This restriction has always been a design challenge for safety door mufflers and a reason for their poor noise reduction performance. This muffler also adopts the noise reduction principle of resistance, injection, and restriction. It replaces the smaller diameter flow control holes with larger holes for expansion, enhancing the resistance, injection, and restriction noise reduction effects structurally, achieving ideal noise reduction results.

3. Vacuum Pump Exhaust Muffler

A large number of industrial and mining enterprises utilize low-pressure boilers with pressure ratings of 0.13 MPa or less, and there are also numerous low-pressure thermal devices in power plant thermal systems, such as back-pressure turbines, deaerators, auxiliary vacuum pumps, steam turbine oil pumps, continuous boiler blowdown, and periodic blowdown, etc. The exhaust pipes of the aforementioned equipment require the installation of mufflers with lightweight structures and easier installation.
