A combination transformer, also known as an American-style transformer or transformer cabinet, is a complete set of transformer and power distribution equipment that combines a transformer, high-voltage receiving part with load switches and protective devices, low-voltage distribution equipment, low-voltage metering system, and reactive power compensation unit.

Fully sealed, fully insulated, compact in structure, aesthetically pleasing, with a volume only about 1/3 of that of an indoor/outdoor transformer box (European type transformer box). No need for a power distribution room; it can be directly placed indoors or outdoors, or even along streets and green belts, ensuring personal safety reliably. It serves as both a power supply facility and an environmental decoration.
