Detailed Description
The insulators are composed of ceramic parts and upper and lower metal fittings bonded together with adhesive. Elastic pads are placed under the bonding contact areas between the ceramic parts and metal fittings. The bonding sections of the ceramic parts feature structures such as sanding, knurling, and grooving to ensure mechanical strength, prevent loosening, and twisting. The ceramic parts are evenly coated with white glaze, and the metal fittings are coated with gray magnetic paint.
The insulator porcelain components have two main structures: a hollow partition (breakable) structure and a solid (unbreakable) structure. The composite pillar insulators are generally of the solid unbreakable structure. This latter structure offers improved safety and reliability over the former, reducing the workload for maintenance and testing.
The insulator porcelain pieces come in two shapes: with more or fewer棱. The multi-棱 shape increases the surface distance, offering better electrical performance than the fewer-棱 shape. All products except for the gradually being phased out exterior insulated pole insulators are of the multi-棱 design.
An inner rubber-insulated structure, due to the metal fittings being sealed into the porcelain components' holes, it correspondingly increases the insulation distance and enhances electrical performance. At the same time, it reduces the space required during installation. However, as inner rubber insulation is not conducive to increasing mechanical strength, insulators with higher mechanical strength requirements should use a combined rubber-insulated structure (i.e., the upper fittings use inner rubber insulation, and the lower fittings use outer rubber insulation).

Standard insulators are suitable for general areas; increasing the number of insulator discs can also enhance the anti-fouling performance if appropriate.
Suspended porcelain insulators are made by bonding porcelain components, iron caps, and steel feet with a silicate cement of not less than 525 grade and quartz sand adhesive. The contact surfaces of the iron caps and steel feet with the adhesive are coated with a thin buffering layer, and the top of the steel feet features an elastic pad. The porcelain surface is usually glazed with white or brown glaze, with other glazes available upon request. Both the iron caps and steel feet are fully hot-dip galvanized. The push-pull type elastic locking pins with spherical connections come in W and R types, both made of tin bronze, brass, and austenitic stainless steel, offering good elasticity and corrosion resistance, and easy assembly and disassembly. The cylindrical and saddle-shaped open pins for groove connections, the former being hot-dip galvanized and the latter made of brass. The above elastic locking pins and cylinder pins, etc., are divided into spherical and groove types according to the connection method.
Standard and anti-fouling insulators of the same strength grade, with the same ball socket connection dimensions, can ensure interchangeability.
