Rockwool board, also known as thermal insulation and decorative rockwool board, is an inorganic fiber board made from basalt as the main raw material, processed through high-temperature melting. It was successfully trial-produced in June 1981. Rockwool board is a new type of material for thermal insulation, fireproofing, and sound absorption.

Rock wool boards are man-made inorganic fibers processed through high-temperature melting, featuring lightweight, low thermal conductivity, heat absorption, and non-flammability. Initially developed for common applications in the construction industry, they are widely used in industrial buildings and should comply with the provisions of "Application Types and Basic Requirements for Building Insulation Materials."
