1.1 Primary Uses and Application Scope
This instrument is suitable for GB3682-2000 "Determination of Melt Flow Rate and Melt Volume Flow Rate of Thermoplastic Materials"
This instrument is used to measure the melt flow rate of various high polymers in their viscous flow state. It is suitable for testing engineering plastics with high melting temperatures such as polycarbonate, polyarylsulfone, fluoroplastics, nylon, as well as plastics with lower melting temperatures like polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS resin, and polyformaldehyde resin. It is widely used in the plastic production, plastic products, petrochemical industries, and by relevant educational institutions, research units, and inspection and quarantine departments.

1.2 Working Principle
Melt flow rate refers to the weight or volume of molten thermoplastic that passes through a standard die per 10 minutes under specific temperature and load conditions, represented by MFR. The value indicates the rheological properties of thermoplastic plastics in the molten state.
1.3 Work Conditions
Room temperature between 10℃ and 40℃.
b. Environmental humidity between 30% - 80%.
c. In environments free of vibration and corrosive media.
d. Install and level correctly on a stable foundation;
e. No strong magnetic field interference during operation; no strong air convection in the surrounding area.
f. Power voltage: 220V, frequency: 50Hz, voltage fluctuation range: ±10%.

This instrument is composed of a plastic extrusion system, a temperature control system, a temperature measurement system, and an automatic cutting system.
2.1 Plastic Extrusion System
The plastic extrusion system consists of components such as the furnace, heating barrel, piston, die, weight, and lever.
2.2 Temperature Control System
This system features both heating and temperature-holding functions, with a temperature control range from room temperature to +300°C, with an accuracy within ±0.5°C.
2.3 Temperature Measurement System
Can measure and display temperature readings in real time
2.4 Automated Cutting System
Automatically cut materials at set time intervals, with the timing unit in seconds.
