UG Mold Design Phase Learning Content:

2. Explanation of 3D software commands, product design, product analysis, DFM creation, export mold standard explanation, and application of 3D auxiliary modules.

3. Mold Structure Explanation (mold types, toggle, slider, thread forming, N-cavity parting, etc.), demolding steps, product reasonable modifications, product parting surface construction, demolding techniques, full 3D, complete 2D assembly drawings.

4. Provide CAD and UG drawings for mold components, and prepare a BOM with 0 pieces for ordering.

5. Comprehensive intensive training, where students design according to the factory's design process. The instructor organizes evaluations and summaries.

UG CNC Programming Stage Learning Content:

I. Basic Course:

1. UG Installation and Interface Setup (with UG Sketch Examples) 2. Basic UG Modeling Commands 3. UG Curve Applications 4. UG Solid Modeling 5. UG Surface Patch Techniques 6. Product Example Explanation 7. UG Machining Module and Engineering Drawing Tutorial 8. Assembly and Automatic Molding

Section 2: Basic Applications of UG Machining Module

1. Surface Milling: Familiar with the applications, cutting methods, and main parameter settings for surface milling.

2. Planer Milling: Know the application, classification, cutting methods for different workpieces, main parameter settings, and mastery of planer milling

3. Cavity Milling: Commonly used for roughing out workpieces, learn to choose the right tools reasonably when the workpiece sizes vary. Cavity milling generally uses a cutting method that follows the perimeter, focusing on the main parameter settings and mastery.

4. Re-clearing corners with mold milling: Mainly for processing the excess material left after rough cutting with the upper tool; setting and mastering of main parameters.

5. Equal Contour Milling: Often used for precision finishing on workpiece sides, the selection of tools should be based on the size of the R-angle at the bottom of the workpiece. Main parameter settings and mastery, example explanation, and topic exercises.

6. Curved Surface Milling: Often used for the precision finishing of workpiece surfaces, typically selecting ball-end mills for curved surface milling. Main parameter settings and control, example problems explained, combined with practical exercises on the topic.

7. Hole Machining: Applications of G81 and G83.

Section 3: Factory Case Study:

1. Electrode Processing: Master the electrode processing and clamping procedures through multiple practical examples and exercises. Pay attention to special points during the processing of electrodes, such as ultra-high and ultra-thin electrodes.

2. Mold Frame Machining: Proficient in mold frame machining processes, experienced in handling large-scale mold frame processing.

3. Mold Core Machining: Understanding of common mold core materials, knowledge of mold heat treatment processes, control of stock allowance before heat treatment for mold cores, and precautions during the processing of mating surfaces for front and rear mold cores.

4. Full Mold Machining: Mastering the precautions for the full mold machining process, integrating the common mold processing flow of the factory and the processing department.

5. Product Processing: Precautions in the processing of products and parameter settings.

The above learning content can be completed in approximately three months of full-time instruction.
