3a Molecular Sieve Applications:
3a molecular sieve is used for industrial dehydration of unsaturated hydrocarbon materials such as cracking gas, propylene, butadiene, and acetylene. It can also be used for drying water, gases, polar liquids (such as ethanol), and natural gas. The smaller pore size of the 3a type can be excluded during water adsorption, thereby preventing the "co-adsorption" of hydrocarbons by all other molecules.
3a Molecular Sieve Regeneration Conditions
Our factory's 3A molecular sieve, 4A molecular sieve, 5A molecular sieve, and 13X molecular sieve can be regenerated and reused through heating and simultaneously blowing or vacuuming.
(1) Dehydration: Dry gases such as nitrogen, air, hydrogen, and saturated hydrocarbons can be heated to 150-320℃ and introduced into the molecular sieve bed at a pressure of 0.3-0.5 kg/m². This process should be continued for 3-4 hours, followed by introducing dry cold gas into the adsorber for approximately 2-3 hours, and then isolated from air to cool to room temperature.
(2) Removal of Organic Matter: The adsorbent can be replaced from the molecular sieve using steam first, then heated to proceed with step (1). Regeneration can also be carried out at 200-350°C using superheated steam or inert gas passing through (gases that could form explosive mixtures with the adsorbent should not be used).
(3) The gas substances can be regenerated using the pressure reduction method.
