When preparing to discharge 13X oxygen molecular sieve, if nitrogen purge operation is used, it should be poured and maintained with nitrogen coverage over the container.
Workers must use separate respirators and readily accessible fire hoses. If, at any time during the pouring process, the substance begins to burn or react (releasing a large amount of heat) on the molecular sieve, stop pouring immediately. Evacuate the workers from the area. Trained personnel equipped with separate respiratory devices may return to the scene once the reaction and fire have ceased. Use fire hoses to submerge the molecular sieve outside the container to prevent further reaction and ignition.
Workers must wear gloves, safety goggles, dust masks, protective shoes, and full-body protective gear while pouring into the sieve.
