Stamping parts are primarily formed by pressing metal or non-metallic sheet materials into shape using the pressure of a press and a stamping die. They possess the following characteristics:
⑴ Stampings are manufactured with minimal material consumption, resulting in lightweight parts with good stiffness. After plastic deformation of the sheet material, the internal structure of the metal is improved, enhancing the strength of the stampings.
⑵ Pressed parts feature high dimensional accuracy, with uniform and consistent dimensions among the same mold pieces, offering good interchangeability. They can meet general assembly and usage requirements without the need for further mechanical processing.
⑶ During the stamping process, the surface of the material remains undamaged, resulting in excellent surface quality with a smooth and attractive appearance. This facilitates the application of surface painting, electroplating, phosphatizing, and other surface treatments.
