The mold used for stretching is called a stretch mold, which is a tool used for mass processing materials (metal or non-metal) into required stampings. Stretch molds can be categorized into single-stroke deep drawing molds, compound molds, and progressive deep drawing molds based on their combinations. They can also be divided into single-action press stretch molds, double-action press stretch molds, and triple-action press stretch molds when distinguished by stamping equipment. The main difference among these three types is the type of edge holding device (elastic or rigid edge holding). Stretch molds can also be classified into initial deep drawing molds and subsequent process deep drawing molds, with the primary distinction lying in the structure and positioning of the edge holding rings.
