1) Suspended hardware, also known as support hardware or suspension clamps. This type of hardware is mainly used to hang the insulated wire string (commonly used on straight pole towers) and to suspend jumper wires on the insulated string.
2) Anchor fasteners, also known as clamping fasteners or wire-retaining clamps.
3) Connector hardware, also known as hanging wire parts. This hardware is used for connecting insulators in series and for connecting hardware to hardware. It bears mechanical loads.
4) Continuation Connectors. These connectors are used to connect various bare conductors and lightning wires. They bear the same electrical load as conductors and most of these connectors bear the full tension of the conductors or lightning wires.
