1) Suspended hardware, also known as support hardware or suspension clamps. This hardware is primarily used for hanging insulated conductor strings (commonly used on straight pole towers) and for suspending jumper wires on the insulated string.
2) Anchor fittings, also known as tension fittings or wire retention clamps.
3) Connector hardware, also known as hanging parts. This hardware is used for connecting insulators in series and for connecting hardware to hardware. It bears mechanical loads.
4) Continuation Connectors. These connectors are used for joining various bare conductors and lightning conductors. They bear the same electrical load as the conductors and most of them bear the full tension of the conductors or lightning conductors.
