The motion of the pick-up mechanism's tines on the bundler is controlled by a directional roller mechanism consisting of a crank, roller, and cam disk at one end of the pick-up. On the other end, an overrunning clutch is installed to prevent reverse rotation of the pick-up in case of an accident. Additionally, the pick-up is equipped with suspension and lifting devices to ensure the tines maintain a stable ground clearance.
