Thermal Insulation Heat Shrink Bands (sets) are a series of products designed for the anti-corrosion and thermal insulation of buried and overhead steel pipeline welds, as well as for the thermal insulation jointing of piping. They are composed of a radiation cross-linked polyolefin base material and a sealing hot-melt adhesive, which can form a good bond with the polyolefin base material, steel pipe surface, and solid epoxy coating. In the industry, the heat shrink band is referred to as a "live sleeve," as opposed to the "dead sleeve" of the heat shrink sleeve. In addition to the main heat shrink band, it also includes a sealant strip and a fixing strip. The heat shrink band is also convenient for mass production and easier to install.
Operating temperature: 80℃; pipe preheating temperature: 75℃
Function
The WK-WSS heat shrinkable tape, during installation, shrinks in radial direction while the base material contracts. The internal adhesive layer melts, tightly enveloping the joint area, forming a durable anticorrosive barrier with the base material on the pipe exterior. It boasts excellent resistance to abrasion, corrosion, impact, and excellent UV and photo-aging properties.
