I. Product Overview
Photochromic fiberglass prepreg tape, developed after summarizing the pros and cons of similar products, is intended for use as protective material for directional pipeline crossings.
The product is mainly used for sealing of newly constructed pipeline sections, for horizontal crossing sections in new pipelines, and for overall wrapping of horizontal crossing sections in new pipelines.
Section II: Product Features
High strength, high rigidity, and excellent resistance to deformation. As a pipeline crossing protective material, it is essential to have high strength and excellent resistance to deformation to prevent tearing by gravel within the borehole.
High tensile strength, excellent crack resistance.
High adhesion for 3-layer PE and fused epoxy powder coating. All photo-sensitive glass fiber reinforced plastic protective casings are non-adhesive by nature and require intermediate low-coating materials to achieve adhesion to the substrate.
High surface hardness. Just like steel materials, to achieve high scratch, wear, and piercing resistance, surface hardening treatment is necessary while enhancing the overall strength of the material. This is why gears, cutting tools, shafts, and shaft sleeves we commonly use are all surface hardened.
No hollow joint overall wrapping technology. Hollow spots, especially continuous ones, are one of the main reasons for the damage to the external protective coating when pipes pass through.
High shrinkage rate. The pre-impregnated film for light-sensitive glass fiber reinforced plastic cases has a high shrinkage rate of 1.5-3%.
