Lightweight aggregate concrete construction technique
The application method of the dry-mixed composite lightweight aggregate concrete base during construction is relatively simple:
Firstly, for the base treatment: Clean the impurities from the bonding base before laying the composite lightweight aggregate sub-base.
Next, locate the control line for the elevated elastic level, typically measured 50cm below the horizontal reference line on the wall, to determine the sub-layer elevation. If possible, mark this line around the perimeter walls.
Then proceed with mixing: first, add an appropriate amount of water to the blender, followed by one bag of pre-mixed base material, mix until uniform, then add the composite lightweight aggregates, continue mixing to form a uniform mixture.
Next, lay the mixed composite lightweight aggregate sublayer. Use a shovel to spread the sublayer on the base, leveling it to the height of the pre-made leveling blocks, 3mm higher than the leveling stack. Then, compact it with a flat vibratory tamper. If the thickness is thin, compact it immediately with a shovel and a special wooden tamping board, and then level it with a large straightedge. Smooth it out with a wood trowel or roll it flat with an iron roller. Complete all operations within 3 hours.
