
Bar Mill (Bar Ball Mill) Application: The main sand-making equipment for domestic metallurgy and glass industries using quartz sand products, as well as sand-making equipment for high-hardness materials like pebbles. Generally, bar mills are used for coarse grinding. The conical end cover of the bar mill has a smaller curvature, and the inner side is equipped with smooth linings, while the drum usually uses rough linings. The hollow shaft diameter of the discharge port is larger, which allows steel bars to move regularly within the bar mill without skewing, thus preventing them from bending when falling and hitting each other.
The rod mill has a low rotational speed, typically ranging from 60% to 70%, with a low medium filling rate of about 35% to 40%. The feed particle size is generally 25 to 30mm; larger sizes can cause the rods to bend and break, and large ore blocks can create significant gaps between rods, making it difficult to achieve the desired particle size and leading to reduced output. The ore is crushed and ground by the "line contact" of the falling steel rods, with little compression from the rods before the coarse crushing, thus minimizing over-grinding. The product particle size is relatively uniform, usually 1 to 3mm, hence the name rod mill sand maker.

Our company's rod mill ball mill is a new type of ore crushing and grinding equipment. Compared to older models, it has the following advantages:
(1) Energy Savings – Older models save over 40% in energy consumption.
(2) Utilizing advanced controlled feeding rod mill technology, combined with the actual grinding material requirements of users, suitable grinding media are selected, transforming the traditional ball mill's surface contact to linear contact. This results in more uniform particle size and higher output for rod mill sand-making machines, suitable for different hardness levels of ores (Mohs hardness 5.5~12).
(3) Adjustable Feed Fineness – Simply adjust to change the particle size of the feed. Equipped with an internal fineness control device, the feed can be fitted with a screening unit, providing two levels of quality control to ensure neither over-grinding nor the inclusion of substandard products in the finished goods.
(4) The rod mill sand maker is available in both dry and wet types for selection, allowing users to choose based on their specific conditions. For processing products like quartz sand, dolomite, monazite, etc., a magnetic separator can be used after the mill to remove iron.
