Five, Installation of Elastic Ball Pivot Support/Sliding Support
1. Mounting scheme for the bracket, the connection type should be specifically agreed upon with the structural designer to ensure reliable connection and functionality between the upper and lower structures and the bracket.
The grade of the concrete filled steel column in the lower section must not be lower than C40.
The reinforcement within the column should refer to the research and analysis results from the design of this support, specifically within a height range of 0.25b to 0.6b along the column axis from the top of the column to the column base (where b is the width of the column section), increasing the configuration of the horizontal stirrup cross-section, with the amount determined by the bearing capacity analysis results.
4. Elastic ball hinge or sliding support is set with an offset value between the upper support plate and the sliding plate according to design requirements.
If the connection between the bracket and the embedded steel plate is焊接, cooling measures must be taken, or use intermittent welding along the edges to prevent overheating of the bracket steel components, which could damage the polytetrafluoroethylene plate, rubber sealing rings, and 5201 silicone grease.
Before installing the elastic ball hinge or sliding support, ensure that the elevation and levelness of the lower structure meet the design requirements. The difference in height at the four corners of the support should not exceed 1mm.
7. The centerline of the support should align with the centerline of the main beam and the installation line of the lower structure.
After the bracket is installed, the base plate should be welded to the embedded steel plate to meet the design requirements. Once the beam construction is completed, the temporary connectors should be removed immediately.
Ensure the upper and lower bracket plates are properly connected during installation of the elastic ball hinge bracket/slide bracket. Remove them after the bracket is properly positioned, and immediately install the dust cover (the dust cover is made of rubber and is installed by the on-site construction unit).
Six, maintenance of elastic ball hinge supports/slide supports
1. Regularly inspect and maintain the elastic ball hinge or sliding bearing during use.
Check for any damage to the bracket and its upper and lower connecting parts, inspect if the bolts are sheared or loose, and if the welds are cracked, etc.
Check and clean the dust cover inside, removing any accumulated dust.
4, Inspect rubber seals for cracking and aging.
5, Rotate the fixed nut, clean it thoroughly, and re-oil it to prevent rusting.
6, Inspect the height variation of the elastic ball hinge or sliding support itself, as this variation reflects the wear condition of the PTFE plate. A major repair should be conducted when the height variation exceeds 4mm.
Inspect the integrity of the rust-proof paint; if any paint is peeling, sand the steel surface to reveal the metal sheen and repaint it.
8, In the event of special circumstances for elastic ball hinge supports/slide supports, such as earthquakes or destructive strong winds, it is necessary to promptly inspect the aforementioned contents.
