• Before use, safety checks must include inspecting the electrical system to prevent electric shocks. Mictosaws are typically equipped with 380V industrial voltage and a 16A large socket, ensuring that the circuit is normal, wires are not exposed, and the importance of grounding the housing is self-evident.

• 2. Secondly, inspect the appearance. If the cutting machine has any significant alterations, do not continue to use it. This is because the cutting machine is designed with numerous safety features, and once the appearance changes, users may not receive the corresponding protection, and the equipment may not operate normally, posing a risk of electric shock.

• 3. The protective cover not only prevents splashes (debris, coolant water) but also shields against the fragments of cutting blades flying out and causing injury, as well as preventing accidental contact by personnel. Occasionally, the sample size may be too large, rendering the protective cover unable to close. Although the cover is not closed, the cutting motor cannot be activated; however, users are presumably aware of how to address this issue. Abandon self-cutting, opt for external processing of samples, don't shy away from the hassle, and don't act impulsively; avoid risks.

• 4. Many metallographic cutting machines require that the cutting disc be brought to a complete stop before any operation can be performed. After the cutting process is finished, the cutting disc often continues to rotate at high speed. Although some cutting machines are equipped with braking systems, operations can only be carried out once the cutting disc has stopped rotating.

• 5. Inspect the protective guard: First, check for any damage. Second, ensure the guard is not closed, as the cutting motor should not be activated.

• 6. Inspect the emergency stop button to ensure it can promptly disconnect power and brake.

• Do not touch equipment with wet hands. This rule may have some flexibility, but the emphasis is on experiencing and establishing a safety awareness.
