Graphite Dissolution Instrument Principle and Usage

Samples and digestion fluids are placed in digestion tubes, where they undergo digestion under constant temperature conditions. The digested samples are then used for various instrumental and chemical analyses. The range of digestion samples includes product samples, various water samples, biological samples (blood, urine, hair), cosmetics, and more.

Food Sample Digestion

Disassemble the dehydrator and place it in the kitchen. Set the temperature to 120℃.

(2) For liquid samples (such as white spirits, pure water, natural water, etc.),吸取1-10.0ml (transfer the sample to the digestion tube and add three glass beads) and place the digestion tube in the digestion instrument at 120℃ to heat until nearly dry. Add 1.0ml (digest the solution at 240℃ in a constant-temperature bath until nearly dry, remove, cool, and determine the volume).

(3) General food items (such as colored wines, beverages, fruit candies, powders, noodles, congee, etc.) are taken to the digestion tube with 0.500-1.000g of sample, added with three glass beads, 10.0ml of digestion solution, and then placed in a digestion instrument at 160°C for digestion for approximately 1-3 hours until the digestion solution becomes clear. After reaching a constant temperature of 240°C, remove and cool, and then bring the volume to the designated amount for measurement.

(4) For food containing a high amount of fats and sediments (such as meat products, sausages, soybean oil, milk powder, milk sugar, chocolate, etc.), 0.300-0.500g of sample is weighed into the digestion tube and three glass beads are added. Then, 10ml of digestion solution is added, and the digestion tube is placed in the digestion instrument at 160℃ for digestion for 3 hours. If the solution has become clear, it is kept at a constant temperature of 240℃ for digestion until nearly dry. After removing it and allowing it to cool, it is diluted to a specific volume for measurement.

2. Water Sample Dissolution:

1.00-10.0ml of the sample is added to the digestion tube, along with three glass beads. The digestion tube is then placed in the digestion instrument and heated to 120°C until nearly dry. Digestant is added (0.50ml of digestant to clean water, 2ml of digestant to wastewater), and the mixture is dissolved at a constant temperature of 240°C until nearly dry. After removing, allow to cool, and determine the volume after dilution.

3. Sample Dissolution:

We weighed 0.200g of the sample into the digestion tube, added three glass beads, and then mixed in 5.0ml of digestion solution. The sample was digested for 30 minutes at 160°C in the digestion instrument. After digestion, the solution was kept at a constant temperature of 240°C until nearly dry. The mixture was then removed, cooled, and reconstituted to a specific volume for measurement.

4. Cosmetic Disintegration

Transfer 0.100-0.200g of cosmetics to the digestive tract, add three glass beads, and mix with 5-10ml of digestion solution. Digest at 160°C for 1-2 hours until the solution clears, then heat at 240°C to near dryness. Remove, cool, and determine the volume after reconstitution.

Please ensure the working surface is clean before use; no water droplets, dirt, scale, or other foreign matter should remain.

2. Place sample tubes.

Power on, flip the switch, the indicator light illuminates, set the desired temperature value, the instrument is in operation.

When the instrument is in operation, it should be supervised by a designated person.

5. Upon completion of work, turn off the power switch and disconnect the power supply.

6. Allow the work surface to cool before proceeding with the required treatment.

Use a three-eyed grounded power source to ensure safety!

8. Do not have too many test tube samples to avoid boiling over and damaging the equipment.

9. Always disconnect the power when not in use to prevent any accidents!
