The air content of concrete is of great significance to its strength and lifespan in regions with high coldness and salinity. The testing of the air content in hardened concrete has always been a rather cumbersome process, generally employing the straight wire method. Its shortcomings include the following:

 

1.Unable to obtain an accurate area valueDue to the inability to directly measure the pore area values, we can only obtain approximate area values by utilizing the principles of calculus with the length of line segments cut by the pores. The accuracy of the obtained values is too low.

 

2.Long testing timeA sample often requires 2 to 3 hours, sometimes even longer, of processing and marking steps.

 

3.Test results are inconsistent.Operators of different backgrounds test the same type of samples, and due to varying operational habits, the test results vary greatly. Consequently, the inconsistent test results lead to a lack of comparability.

 

Therefore, Jinan Weina has collaborated with renowned domestic universities to launch the WINNER208 Air Content Tester for Concrete. Utilizing computer image technology along with an independently designed optical mechanical system, it automatically tests relevant data such as the air content and pore spacing coefficient of hardened concrete.
