The 6415B Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is a test module for fiber optic cable monitoring systems. This product is primarily used for measuring the physical properties of fiber optic cables, such as length, transmission loss, and splice loss, and can accurately locate event points and fault points in the fiber optic lines. It is widely used in power grid companies, high-speed networks, broadcasting and television, oil and gas pipelines, and the research, development, and production testing of fiber optic cables. The 6415B features an aluminum alloy construction for durability and strength. It comes with a General Electric interface and FC/UPC optical interface, offering both Ethernet and RS232 communication ports. The RS232 port is used to retrieve product information and to view and set the initial IP address; the Ethernet port is for controlling the entire module, facilitating command sending and data transmission.
