Rust proof grease is composed of one or more rust proof additives (also known as oil soluble corrosion inhibitors) and their additives added to the basic components of petroleum. It is easy to use, low-cost, effective, easy to operate, and widely used in the fastener industry.
Generally, rust proof oil should be stored in a cool place with a shelf life of 2-3 years. The packaging comes in sizes of 25kg, 50kg, and 200kg.

During storage, transportation, and use, metals undergo physical and chemical changes and rust due to the influence of substances such as water vapor, oxygen, acid, alkali, salt, and carbides in the environmental atmosphere under certain temperature, humidity, and time conditions. Corrosion of metal can cause loss of metal and deterioration and loss of metal component functionality. Metal rusting is caused by oxidation reactions that occur when metal comes into contact with humid air or electrolyte solutions.
Thin layer anti rust oil has been applied in production through various processes of most fastener enterprises, and has good anti rust performance for fastener products. At the same time, it is easy to coat, has a light and bright color, less solvent evaporation, and saves less usage. It is less than one-third of thick layer anti rust oil, thus saving more than two-thirds of production costs. Its main purpose is to treat fasteners after blackening at room temperature. Thin layer rust proof oil can be used for rust prevention between indoor processes, as well as for packaging and sealing.
Electroplating anti rust oil is a light yellow liquid with a specific gravity of 0.68-0.85kg/L at room temperature. It has strong anti rust and salt spray resistance, and can form a dense protective film on the surface of copper, iron, stainless steel and other metals. The film layer has strong adhesion and effectively prevents external substances from corroding the metal. The protective film is not easy to scratch, does not affect conductive welding, and does not stick between workpieces. It has strong anti fingerprint, anti discoloration, waterproof and anti oxidation capabilities. It can operate at room temperature with simple equipment (one centrifuge, one glue box, one glue bucket, and one sieve). Very convenient to use and low cost. It is an ideal anti rust and salt spray resistant sealing material. Applicable workpieces: various hardware standard parts, stamped parts, screws, nuts, mesons, springs, rivets, electronic accessories, and other hardware products. Applicable customer groups: electroplating factories, surface treatment factories, hardware factories; Copper, iron, stainless steel, and other metals; Nickel, chemical nickel, chromium, blackening, tin and other plating types.
There are the following application methods for different anti rust oils:
1. Dip coating, immerse metal products in liquid rust proof oil, remove and drain. Some rust proof oils may be too thick and need to be heated to a certain temperature.
2. Brush coating, using a brush to apply anti rust oil to the surface of metal products, is more suitable for large and complex shaped products.
3. Spraying is a faster and more uniform method for large metal products.
4. Immersion, this method can be used for small metal products.
Generally, for short-term or process rust prevention, the rust prevention work is completed by applying the above-mentioned rust prevention oil. However, for long-term storage rust prevention, packaging is also necessary to protect the rust prevention film from damage during transportation and reduce the invasion of corrosive media. Generally, oil resistant, well sealed, and soft film materials such as plastic film, aluminum-plastic film, wax paper, etc. are commonly used.
