FT-102H Metal Powder High Temperature Loose Density and Flow Rate Measuring Instrument

Scope of Application

For processes like warm forming and additive manufacturing, the loose packing density and flow rate of the powder at high temperatures are crucial performance indicators.;

1. Method for determining the bulk density of powdered blends at high temperatures, primarily applicable to warm-pressed iron and steel powders. The method primarily follows the bulk density determination method specified in ISO3923-1 (funnel method), with the two funnels to be selected by the relevant parties after negotiation..

2. Two flow rate measurement methods are used to determine the time (flow rate) it takes for a certain quantity of heated powdered mixture to pass through a funnel with a fixed orifice. This type of powder is primarily suitable for warm pressing steel powders.

1).Method A funnel with a diameter of 2.5mm is used, with a sample quantity of 50g, primarily following the methods specified in ISO 4490. This method is only applicable to powdered mixtures that can freely pass through a 2.5mm aperture when heated..

2).Method Use a hopper with a 5mm aperture, and the sample quantity is 150g.;

Both methods have a test temperature range of 60℃ to 180℃.
