Air Drying and Deterioration Generator

Usage

The Dry Air Generator is suitable for providing dry air during maintenance of large electrical equipment such as power system transformers and reactors, and can replace the traditional transformer oil circulation drying method. It is also applicable for air drying and recirculation drying in storage, packaging, and electronics industries. Additionally, it is particularly suitable for drying hydrogen in the hydrogen cooling system of power generation units and for drying SF6 gas in SF6 equipment. The GZ Dry Air Generator for power equipment maintenance is not affected by external weather conditions. Especially for overnight operations, simply seal all flanges, fill with dry air at 0.02-0.03 Mpa, and no oiling is required for transformers and reactors, preventing dampness. This reduces the daily workload of oil extraction and refueling, achieving the effect of shortening maintenance time and improving maintenance quality. During oil filtering, the generator can be used to inflate and dry the equipment's housing and oil, ensuring improved insulation and reduced moisture content during filtering in rainy or humid conditions. It can also serve as an on-site indoor air conditioning unit when idle.

Principle

As air enters the refrigeration unit below freezing, most moisture condenses into ice water, and the air undergoes the first drying process. It then passes through a desiccant air filter, where it is dried a second time by passing through变色硅胶, which adsorbs the remaining moisture. The filtered air is then supplied to the equipment requiring dry gas. When the变色硅胶 becomes fully saturated with water, its CoCl2硅胶 changes from blue to red, indicating that the desiccant is saturated and needs to be replaced with dry blue desiccant to maintain the dry state of the outgoing gas.

Performance and Features

This gas drying unit consists of four main parts: the gas source system, the freeze drying system, the adsorption drying system, and the electrical control system, making it a low dew point, portable, air-cooled high-purity gas generator.

Air Source System Composition: Consists of an air dust filter, oil-free air compressor unit, air cooler (air-cooled), air-water separator, and filters, outputting clean, oil-free gas.

Composition of Freeze-Drying System: This unit primarily utilizes an imported fully enclosed high-temperature refrigeration compressor unit, which is stable and reliable, enabling greater refrigeration capacity. The system configuration includes an imported fully enclosed refrigeration compressor unit, air heat exchanger, evaporator, gas-water separator, and precision filter. The refrigeration process uses R-22 refrigerant, which is first compressed by the fully enclosed high-temperature refrigeration compressor, cooled by the cooler, dried by desiccant, controlled by solenoid valves, expanded by the expansion valve, and finally returned to the refrigeration compressor via the evaporator, creating a 0-5°C low-temperature environment within the evaporator.

System Process Flow

Firstly, the raw air is filtered through an air filter (three-stage filtration) to remove most oil, water, and dust. It then enters a refrigerant dryer, followed by a precision filter and a desoiling adsorber filled with granular material, reducing the residual oil content to ≤0.01ppm. After passing through a buffer gas storage tank, it enters a pressure swing adsorption system with two adsorbent-filled vessels, known as the dry air generator unit. The clean compressed air enters from the bottom of the adsorption tower, where it is diffused by an air diffuser and evenly distributed. It undergoes gas-water adsorption separation and exits as dry air from the outlet, flowing into an air buffer tank. This gas production process takes approximately one minute, after which it undergoes equalization and pressure reduction (to atmospheric pressure), removing the adsorbed impurities (mainly moisture), completing the adsorbent regeneration. The two adsorption towers operate in an alternating cycle, continuously feeding raw air and producing dry air. The air output pressure is 0.1Mpa, with an oxygen dew point of around -45°C.
