A semi-automatic parallel welding machine is essentially a combination of manual and automatic parallel welding. In semi-automatic parallel seam welding machines, in addition to the original seam welding technology, the machine primarily utilizes vision measurement (detection) technology (also known as CCD) and robotic arm technology. The principle involves image recognition of the outer shape of the base shell and cover plate, creating a mathematical measurement model, obtaining full digital information of the base shell and cover plate for calculation, and identifying their centers and feature points for error computation. This results in correction values for X, Y, and θ, which are indicated by the computer to guide the robotic arm for adjustment operations, ensuring the correct placement of the base shell and cover plate. Typically, the X and Y error correction can achieve within 0.03mm, and the θ angle correction can reach within 0.5°.
