Properties:

外观: white or colorless granular crystals; easily weathered; soluble in water; insoluble in organic solvents; alkaline in water solution; 1% water solution pH is 12.1; relative density 1.62; melting point 73.4°C; upon heating to 55~65°C, becomes decahydrate; upon heating to 65~100°C, becomes hexahydrate; upon heating to 100~213°C, becomes hemihydrate; upon heating above 212°C, becomes anhydrous.

Usage:

(1) For industrial applications in soft water treatment, daily chemical products, electroplating phosphatization, dye fixation, enameling flux, and leather fat removal.

(2) Used in the food industry as buffering agents, emulsifiers, and nutritional supplements; as an alkali water ingredient for the preparation of noodles. Also applicable in the refinement of saccharin and starch production, as well as detergents for edible bottles and cans. Generally added at 3-5‰ in food processing, with the amount not exceeding 1%.
