Properties:
Light-colored powder or granular, relative density 1.619, melting point 155°C, soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, 1% aqueous solution pH is 8.0, gradually loses ammonia in air to form ammonium dihydrogen phosphate.
Usage:
Diammonium phosphate is primarily used in the industry as a fire retardant for wood, paper, and fabrics, also as an additive in fire-resistant coatings, and is also employed in the production of printing plates.
Diammonium phosphate, a food additive, is used as a leavening agent and nutrient in the food industry.
