Magnetic flux coil
Tesla meters and flux meters can both measure the remanent magnetic induction intensity of magnets, but when measuring small magnets, the distance between the probe (Tesla meter) and the sample surface must be removed using a Hall probe, otherwise the measurement error is significant. The use of a Helmhotz coil in conjunction with a flux meter effectively resolves this issue. The Helmhotz coil is used to generate a uniform magnetic field, and conversely, it can also be used for open-circuit sample flux measurements. By removing the measured magnet from the center of the coil, the flux in the Helmhotz coil changes, induces a voltage, which is then transmitted to the flux meter. The flux meter calculates the change in flux through data processing.
