Measure AC and DC current
The Lico current probe does not require insertion of a parallel shunt circuit in the circuit to reliably measure current; instead, it is based on Hall effect and transformer technology. The Lico current probe is an ideal tool for measuring AC, DC, and pulse currents.
Integrated with oscilloscopes
Many current probes require an external power supply and amplifier to display waveforms on an oscilloscope. All Tektronix current probes are directly connectedPower supplied via ProBus interface, no additional hardware required. In addition to power supply, the oscilloscope communicates with the current probe via ProBus, allowing the current waveform to be automatically displayed on the oscilloscope in ampere units. The calculated power waveform can also be shown in watt units. Similarly, demagnetization and automatic zeroing can be done with a single button operation on the oscilloscope.
Application
Lico's various current probe models can meet a wide range of application requirements. This series of current probes offers a high bandwidth up to100MHz, peak current up to 700A, sensitivity down to 10mA/div. Multiple current probes can be used simultaneously to measure three-phase systems. Current probes can also be paired with voltage probes for instantaneous power measurement. The Tektronix current probe is frequently used for measuring switching power supplies, motor drives, electric vehicles, and UPS power sources.
