Quality Management System Certification refers to the assessment of a company's quality management system by a third-party certification body that has obtained QMS certification qualifications, based on officially released quality management system standards. Upon successful assessment, the third-party body issues a QMS certification, registers and publicly announces it to demonstrate that the company's quality management and quality capabilities meet the relevant standards or are capable of providing products in accordance with specified quality requirements.
