The drones are equipped with cameras andMatrice 4 SeriesA direct descendant with improved flight and protective performance, also compatible with the DJI RC Plus 2 Pro remote controller.Used individually. With the DJI Skyport 2 and its new intelligent features, DJI Airport 3 will further help industry users reshape the new paradigm of operations.
DJI's Senior Corporate Strategy Director and Spokesperson Zhang Xiaonan stated: "Since the launch of DJI's first airport in 2022, it has gradually demonstrated the value of unattended platforms in various fields such as public safety, power grids, water conservancy, transportation, urban management, and forestry. It has promoted the automation of drone applications, enhanced operational efficiency, reduced costs, and driven the data intelligence of the industry. The new generation Airport 3 marks the first time that mobile deployment on vehicles is possible, empowering more industry scenarios with intelligent, automated, and scalable unattended solutions, and continuously advancing the transformation of industry productivity tools."

First-time support for vehicle-mounted mobile deployment; environmental adaptability and deployment flexibility reach new heights.
Full-environment operation is a major highlight of Airport 3. The Airport 3 has a protection rating of IP56, while both the Matrice 4D and Matrice 4TD reach IP55. It can operate and charge smoothly even at temperatures as high as 50°C, ensuring efficient rotation of tasks. In low-temperature environments, Airport 3 performs equally well, operating normally at -30°C and capable of preheating drones for operation in -30°C conditions as well. Additionally, the DJI Matrice 4D/4TD comes with standard silent anti-icing propellers, allowing stable flight even in freezing rain conditions and preventing power saturation caused by icing. The Matrice 4D/4TD boasts powerful flight performance and extended endurance, capable of stable takeoff and landing, as well as hovering for up to 32 minutes in strong winds of up to 12 m/s. Fully charged, it can fly at a speed of 15 m/s for 47 minutes, with a net operation time 37% longer than Airport 2.
Beyond robust protection, the DJI AirStation 3 boasts flexible deployment capabilities, enhancing its adaptability. For the first time, the DJI AirStation 3 supports vehicle-mounted mobile deployment, which, when paired with a vehicle-mounted stabilization mount, addresses the issue of protecting the drone during travel. This allows for more efficient dispatching during emergency operations and also meets the requirements of long-distance inspection tasks. Additionally, when used with the latest D-RTK 3 repeater stations, it offers enhanced transmission and anti-interference performance. By installing it at a high elevation, it resolves issues with obstructed RTK and transmission signals, expanding the transmission distance up to 25 kilometers, thus making the fixed deployment of the airport more flexible. In densely populated urban areas, the D-RTK3 repeater station mounted on rooftops significantly improves signal quality. In environments with strong interference from communication towers, the D-RTK 3 repeater stations deployed at the top of these towers also provide stable high-precision positioning signals during drone operations.
New airborne relay, wire-level obstacle-avoidance radar; High-performance drones redefine operational paradigms
The brand-new DJI Matrice 4D/4TD drones are designed exclusively for the DJI Airport 3, with both models featuring wide-angle, medium telephoto, long telephoto cameras, and laser rangefinder modules, continuing and upgrading the Matrice 4 series. The Matrice 4D excels in high-precision surveying and precise surface inspection tasks. The Matrice 4TD is further equipped with a thermal imaging camera and an additional near-infrared light source, covering applications such as energy inspection, emergency rescue, and public safety. The DJI Space 2 has been upgraded for the Matrice 4D series, supporting a variety of flight planning functions like close-range photogrammetry, geometric body routes, and sloping routes, enhancing efficiency while refining modeling.
The Matrice 4D drone series can be used with the DJI RC Plus 2 industrial remote controller independently, and features an added relay function. When controlled via the remote, one drone can be elevated as a relay, while the other performs distant tasks. The relay drone will automatically align with the working drone, ensuring smooth transmission signals even in the absence of 4G signal or obstructions, significantly enhancing transmission range. This meets the operational needs for mountain rescue, inspections, and more.
Matrice 4D/4TD's obstacle-avoidance radar integrates with panoramic LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar technology. In power line crossing scenarios, it can achieve 12mm wire-level obstacle avoidance at a speed of 15m/s, and operates effectively in zero-light environments.
Aid in positioning. Accurately avoids obstacles even in fluctuating environment of power distribution lines and complex substations, ensuring operational safety.
Intelligent, efficient, and secure—emerging a new chapter of unmanned intelligence
The DJI Airport 3 paired with the Skyport 2 significantly enhances the intelligent level and operational efficiency of unattended operations. In scenarios such as security and patrol inspections, after setting up the new intelligent flight paths, drones can automatically detect vehicles, ships, and infrared temperature anomalies, and independently perform actions like filming, achieving a full automated workflow that includes flight, detection, alerts, and recording. The new intelligent change detection function efficiently conducts periodic comparative analysis of regional changes. Additionally, the virtual cockpit remote control interface offers a greatly improved perspective-following experience, allowing for quick and precise centering of the image without the need for cumbersome adjustments to the drone's posture and gimbal direction, truly realizing "point and look." Operators can leverage the powerful auto-zoom capability of the Matrice 4D series drones to quickly lock onto and follow vehicles, ships, and other targets during remote drone flight operations, achieving efficient tracking and recording.
DJI Airport 3 is ready to fly with a single lid open, enabling rapid response to emergency events, allowing observation of the core area from above. With intelligent route planning activated, "Point of Flight" can reach a control point 100 meters high at 1 kilometer away in just 100 seconds. Meanwhile, the engine upgrade significantly reduces the live delay on the Sky 2, providing a reliable guarantee for real-time decision-making. In emergency scenarios, it can achieve flying while transmitting and rapid modeling, forming a rough model in the cloud quickly, greatly enhancing efficiency.
Data security and compliance are enhanced by deploying Skynex 2 in a private network environment, ensuring further data protection. The Skynex 2 Private Edition also offers capabilities for secondary development, including MQTT Bridge, OpenAPI, and independent frontend components, catering to various customization needs. This allows for a safer and more efficient integration with existing customer business systems, meeting the operational requirements of different vertical industries. Additionally, to further secure user data, DJI supports Skynex 2's customizable permission management, AES-256 transmission encryption, and private deployment of 4G enhanced transmission.
Additionally, the accessories and products such as the track-mounted searchlights, real-time voice announcement systems, DJI Power 1000, and others for Airport 3 are newly compatible, catering to more industry work scenarios. The announcement of the DJI Airport 3 Intelligent Algorithm Developer Program is also accelerating the expansion into new domains of drone intelligent applications, enabling airports to have a wider range of application scenarios and potential.
