Electrically heated reaction kettle
Overview
Electrically heated reactors are primarily used in the petrochemical, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, and food industries, serving as vessels for processes such as vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, hydrocarbonation, polymerization, and condensation, including reactors, reaction vessels, decomposition kettles, and polymerizers, etc. The materials commonly used are stainless steel and carbon steel. Electrically heated reactors are widely applied in the chemical, food, natural flavoring, food additive, and light industry sectors.
Equipment Structure
An electrically heated reaction kettle is composed of the kettle body, lid, stirrer, jacket, support, and transmission device, as well as the shaft seal device. The material and openings can be customized according to the user's process requirements. Made from 1Cr18Ni19Ti stainless steel plate, the stirring methods typically include anchor, paddle, worm gear, or pusher or frame types. It is a cost-effective, easy-to-operate unit that heats the oil in the jacket directly with electric heating rods, achieving high temperatures. The kettle is made up of the lid, cylinder body, jacket, stirrer, shaft seal transmission device, and support. It is suitable for various organic compounds in decomposition, synthesis, cracking, polymerization, and esterification reactions.
Heating methods include electric, oil, gas, water heating (or cooling), and open flame heating. Jacket types are: jacketed and semi-tubular jacketed, with flow guidance devices in jacketed oil heating types. Agitator types generally consist of paddle, anchor, frame, screw blade, and wall scraper styles. High-speed options include dispersal impeller, turbine, high-shear, and propeller types, catering to customer process requirements. Transmission types include standard motors, explosion-proof motors, electromagnetic speed control motors, and variable frequency drives. Heat exchangers come in cycloidal pinion, worm gear, and planetary variable speed designs. Shaft seals are available in standard water-cooled filling seal, combined PTFE filling seal, and mechanical seal options. Discharge types include ball valves and lower expansion valves.

Reduction gears include cycloidal pinion, worm gear, and planetary stepless speed change types. The shaft seal is typically a water-cooled packed gland, a combined packed gland, or a mechanical seal.
The reactor is composed of a vessel body, cover, agitator, electric heating oil jacket, support and transmission device, shaft seal, overflow oil trough, etc., and is equipped with electric heating rods and temperature and pressure measuring instruments. (See Figures 1 and 2) Due to the varying production processes and operating conditions of users, the types of agitation generally include anchor, paddle, turbine, propeller, or frame styles. The bearing supports come in two types: suspended or supported. The jacket is internally filled with thermal medium oil and heated by electric heating rods. The jacket has openings for inlet and outlet oil, overflow, venting, and connections for electric heating rods and temperature measurement. The jacket's outer wall is焊接 with supports, and the vessel body has an outlet for discharging material.
