DHL Express has launched a direct cargo flight route from Wuxi, Jiangsu, to Leipzig, Germany, on the European line. Currently, the route operates three times a week, with plans to increase to six flights per week, providing 300 tons of weekly capacity. This route will cover the entire industrial, supply, and trade chains in southern Jiangsu, offering strong aviation support to surrounding enterprises and accelerating the export of cross-border goods in the southern Jiangsu region. It is reported that DHL Express has collaborated with Wuxi multiple times before, having previously opened intercontinental cargo routes such as "Wuxi-Germany" and "Wuxi-US." In May 2018, the "Wuxi-Germany Hahn-Incheon-Wuxi" cargo route was the first international intercontinental cargo route officially operated in Wuxi, positively impacting the airport's cargo transfer capabilities, reducing enterprises' transportation and time costs, and promoting high-quality economic and social development in Wuxi and southern Jiangsu. This July, DHL Express added a cargo route from Shenzhen port to Leipzig hub, operated by DHL's B767 aircraft, with six flights per week, adding nearly 300 tons of capacity. This is the second direct route added after the first Shenzhen-Leipzig direct route was launched in April this year. The new route departs from Shenzhen at dawn, extending the cut-off time for exporting goods from southern China to Europe on the same day, providing more ample time for enterprises in southern China to arrange for exporting goods to Europe. The Director of DHL Express at Shenzhen Port in China said that DHL Express is continuously increasing its full-fleet investment at Bao'an International Airport in Shenzhen. With the launch of the second European direct route, the company will provide more sufficient and stable transport capacity guarantees for foreign trade enterprises in southern China.
