Polish e-commerce platform Allegro partners with DHL Express to support deliveries to Poland and EU countries. Allegro recently announced a collaboration with logistics company DHL Express. In Poland, DHL Express will serve as part of Allegro Smart's delivery service, also supporting international deliveries to customers in EU countries. According to a Mile One report, in 2021, couriers delivered over 10.6 billion packages to individual European customers. In Poland alone, the volume exceeded 1 billion. The European B2C express services market is valued at over 80 billion euros. The CEO of DHL Express Poland explained that the combination of various technologies in DHL Express's processes and services, along with the possibility of leveraging DPDHL's international experience, enables the company to respond to customer needs at a high level and support operational and cost efficiency. DHL Express couriers will provide delivery services for Allegro's Polish and EU customers. Customers with Allegro Smart can also utilize DHL Express's free delivery service. The program has been used by over 5 million customers, with over 160 million free delivery offers on the platform. Customers have saved over 5.2 billion Polish zlotys in shipping costs. Additionally, DHL supports international deliveries, making it convenient for customers in EU countries to shop on the platform. Allegro's Vice President of Delivery Experience stated, "DHL Express's reputation in Europe is an additional asset for Allegro's entry into the EU market strategy. Due to the collaboration, millions of new customers will have easier and more comfortable access to the variety of products offered on the platform, and sellers with whom we collaborate will have the opportunity to expand outside Poland without additional procedures or investments." DHL Supply Chain Develops 400,000 Square Meters of Carbon Neutral Warehouse for Key European Markets DHL recently announced that its real estate experts have developed a 400,000 square meter carbon neutral warehouse to support the growth needs of six top European market clients. All sites in the central logistics zone will benefit from excellent multimodal connections, designed to serve clients from various industries. It is reported that all buildings in the carbon neutral warehouse will feature modern technical specifications, reflecting the park concept, and become a key operational center for DHL Supply Chain and its domestic and international clients. These 14 units span 10 development locations across Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Italy, and Poland's major logistics markets. All buildings will meet critical sustainability standards. For the 400,000 square meter carbon neutral warehouse, DHL Supply Chain has secured investors and strategic partners. Allianz Real Estate, acting on behalf of several Allianz Group companies, and DHL Supply Chain have reached an agreement to purchase the first half of the investment portfolio. These warehouses are set to be completed from the 2023 quarter to the 2024 quarter, making it one of Allianz Real Estate's largest logistics department acquisitions to date: the total area of five facilities will exceed 200,000 square meters. Upon completion, DHL Supply Chain will occupy at least 85% of the long-term leases in the facilities developed by Allianz Real Estate.
