The operation of a switching power supply is quite easy to understand. Unlike linear power supplies, where power transistors operate in linear mode, PWM switching power supplies keep the power transistors in a state of conduction and cutoff. In these two states, the voltage-amperage product applied to the power transistors is very small (low voltage, high current during conduction; high voltage, low current during cutoff). By increasing the number of secondary winding turns of the transformer, the output voltage can be increased. These AC waveforms are then rectified and filtered to produce a DC output voltage.

Adjust the peak electricity load reasonably. Under normal circumstances, the transformer's load rate should be kept around 60% to minimize losses. Therefore, during peak electricity consumption periods, optimize the operation plan by removing some relatively unimportant mechanical and electrical loads and lighting loads to reduce peak loads. For public lighting and office equipment management, try to dim the light or promptly turn off the lights without special need, and avoid keeping decorative lighting on for extended periods. For areas with low personnel movement, use sensor, voice-activated, and touch-switch closures for lighting control. If possible, implement real-time control of the public lighting system. For office equipment like computers that are not used for a long time, promptly disconnect the power supply to reduce standby losses.
