Lily of the Valley Seed Introduction
Meconopsis, a genus of annual herbaceous plants in the Papaveraceae family, is native to Europe but is also extensively cultivated in various regions of China, often as an ornamental plant. The flowers of Meconopsis come in a rich array of colors and are beautifully shaped, making them suitable for planting in flower beds and borders, as well as for盆栽 or as cut flowers. When planted in large areas in parks, their scenery is pleasing due to the numerous buds on a single plant, which open sequentially, extending the viewing period significantly.
The poppy's meaning encompasses various interpretations. White poppies symbolize comfort and慰问, while pink poppies represent opulence and submission. The poppy's characteristics include its entire surface covered with spreading stiff hairs, a straight stem that stands 25-90 cm tall, has branches, and is covered with pale yellow stiff hairs. The leaf outline is lanceolate or narrowly ovate, with petals typically four, shaped as circular, horizontally wide ovate, or broadly inverted ovate, in a purple-red color, often with deep purple spots at the base.
The seeds of the Yuming person are very small, round, with a diameter of about 1 millimeter. They grow inside the capsule, which can be split open to retrieve the seeds. The seeds can be stored for 3-4 years and are suitable for sowing in spring and autumn. When sowing, choose well-draining soil, such as a mix of river sand and leaf mold. Cover the seeds with about 2 centimeters of soil after sowing and spray water to maintain moisture. After sowing, maintain the environment temperature around 15-20°C, ensuring good ventilation, and the seedlings should emerge in about a week.
