Mung beans, known as a traditional Chinese medicine. They belong to the genus Cajanus within the Leguminosae family.Cajanus cajan (Linn.) Millsp. seeds. Plant beans cultivated in Zhejiang, Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and other areas. They possess properties of benefiting dampness, reducing swelling, dispersing blood stasis, and stopping bleeding. Mainly used for treating rheumatic arthritis pain, injuries from falls and blows, nosebleeds, hematochezia, boils and abscesses, postpartum lochia retention, edema, and jaundice type hepatitis.
