What environmental requirements do inverters have during operation?
1) Operating Temperature: As a high-power electronic device, inverters are sensitive to operating temperatures, typically requiring a range of 0~55℃. However, to ensure reliable operation, it is advisable to allow for sufficient space and maintain temperatures below 40℃ during use. Inverters are generally mounted at the top of control cabinets and should be installed strictly according to the instructions in the product manual. There should be no heating devices or components prone to heating at the bottom of the inverter.
2) Environmental Temperature: When the temperature is too high or varies too much, the variable frequency speed controller is prone to condensation, significantly reducing its insulation performance and potentially causing short-circuit accidents. If necessary, desiccants and heating should be added. 3) Corrosive Gases: In environments with high concentrations of corrosive gases, not only will the conductors and circuit boards of the components be corroded, but the aging of plastic components will also be accelerated, lowering insulation performance. In such cases, the control box should be designed as a sealed structure with ventilation.
4. Vibration and Impact: When a control cabinet equipped with a variable frequency drive is subjected to mechanical vibration impact, it may cause poor electrical contact. In addition to enhancing the mechanical strength of the control cabinet, keeping it away from vibration and impact sources, it is also necessary to securely fasten anti-vibration rubber pads for electromagnetic switches and other vibration components inside and outside the cabinet. After a period of use, inspect the equipment.
