2. Directive 2002/95/EC or RoHS: The European Union's restriction on the use of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in the production process of electrical and electronic equipment sold within the EU, effective as of July 21, 2011.
3. 2011/65/EU Directive or RoHS 2.0: As of January 2, 2013, the EU restricts lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr VI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), and di-iso-butyl phthalate (DIBP) (collectively known as Phthalates 4P).
