High-pressure water jet cleaning technology has been widely used in China's oil, electricity, metallurgy, and other industries. It is now commonly applied to clean containers such as autoclaves, reactors, cooling towers, tank trucks, pipelines, gas pipelines, and heat exchangers, as well as for removing marine organisms and rust from ships, and for sandblasting on cast iron and steel products. Over time, gas pipeline systems often suffer from severe scaling due to long-term gas transportation. Analysis of the scale samples reveals that the blocking material is mainly tar deposits (naphthalene, phenols and homologues, anthracene, phenanthrene, carbazole, asphalt), and due to the complex chemical composition of the pollutants, it is difficult to determine the appropriate chemical cleaning solvent, making the cleaning cycle challenging to implement and costly. Therefore, physical high-pressure water jet cleaning is adopted.
