Product Overview

A distillation column is a tower-type gas-liquid contacting device used for distillation. It takes advantage of the different volatilities of the components, meaning that their vapor pressures are different at the same temperature, to transfer the light components (low-boiling substances) from the liquid phase to the gas phase, and the heavy components (high-boiling substances) from the gas phase to the liquid phase, thereby achieving separation. Distillation columns are also widely used in petrochemical production as mass transfer and heat transfer devices.
