Chrome alum slide bricks are made primarily from white alumina and brown alumina, with the addition of green chromium oxide and electric fused chromium oxide. After mixing in specific proportions, they are formed either by pressing in a press or casting, then fired in a high-temperature shuttle kiln. These bricks have high耐火 resistance and good wear resistance, and are mainly used in the sliding tracks and steel discharge platforms of steel reheating furnaces, as well as in the steel discharge troughs, which are prone to wear. They are an upgraded product over traditional water-cooled slide tracks and cast iron slide tracks.
