H3C Network Management Features
1. Full-featured basic resource management
Additional types of management equipment: In addition to traditional routers and switches, we can manage a variety of devices within the network, such as wireless, security, voice, storage, monitoring, servers, printers, and UPS systems, achieving centralized management of equipment resources.
2. Flexible topology features
Multiple Network Topology Views: In addition to the traditional IP topology view, the iMC platform offers full network topology views and customizable topology views, allowing users to clearly and flexibly create customized network topologies based on their organizational structure, regional situations, and even floor layouts. In the full network topology view, users can freely organize and customize sub-maps.
3. Intelligent Alert Management
Intuitive Fault List: The H3C Intelligent Management Center automatically compiles a list of faulty devices across the entire network, allowing administrators to quickly and clearly identify devices that require attention.

H3C NetworkingBy transmission medium classification
Coaxial Cable and Twisted Pair: A computer network connected using coaxial cables and twisted pair wires.
Optical Fiber Network: An optical fiber network is a type of wired network, but it is listed separately due to its uniqueness. It employs optical fiber as the transmission medium. With long transmission distances, advanced network security technologies, high transmission rates reaching thousands of megabits per second (Mbps), and strong anti-interference capabilities, it is an ideal choice for high-security networks. However, due to its higher cost and the need for sophisticated installation techniques, along with the price of network security equipment, it has not yet become widespread.
Wireless Network: Utilizes air as the transmission medium, carrying data through electromagnetic waves. Network devices are secure. Currently, the cost of connecting to a wireless network is high and not widely adopted. However, due to its flexible and convenient connection methods, it is a promising networking option.

Basic Principles of H3C Networking
1. The primary purpose of the network: data exchange between computers.
2. Local Area Network (LAN)
Switch, Router
Routers are devices that connect various local and wide area networks within the Internet.
Switches, also known as switching hubs, are network devices that operate on the OSI Layer 2 (Data Link Layer), based on MAC address recognition, and are capable of encapsulating and forwarding data packets.
WAN: Used for connecting external IP addresses, typically refers to the outbound, for forwarding IP packets originating from the internal zhiWAN interface.
LAN: Used for internal IP addressing; within the LAN there's a switch. Currently, routers on the market combine both router and switch functions, not the pure router as described in textbooks. It's a hybrid. Communication within the LAN is free, regardless of whether the WAN port is properly connected; this serves as the switching function.
