Smoke and fire dampers are installed on the ductwork of the smoke extraction system or at the inlet of the smoke exhaust fan, remaining closed under normal conditions. Upon a fire occurrence, the dampers are manually or automatically activated via the fire alarm signal, working in conjunction with the system to extract smoke. They automatically close when the temperature inside the duct reaches 280°C and maintain fire resistance and integrity for a specified period, acting as a barrier to smoke and fire.
Features
1. Normal opening smoke and fire dampers
(1) Normally in an open position, the valve remains open during a fire.
(2) When the pipeline temperature reaches 280℃, the fuse trips and the valve automatically closes.
(3) Output valve closes signal, interlock exhaust fan stops.
(4) Manual shut-off, manual start-up;
2. Normally Closed Smoke and Fire Dampers
Normally Closed Duct Smoke and Fire Damper, also known as Double-Acting Smoke and Fire Damper.
(1) Normally in a closed state, upon fire occurrence, the valve is swiftly opened when DC24V power is input from the control center.
(2) Activate output valve signal to interlock control fire exhaust fans.
(3) Manual activation, manual reset to off;
(4) When the pipeline temperature reaches 280°C, the fuse trips, and the valve is reset to close.
3. Remote Control Smoke and Fire Damper (Steel Rope Control Type):
(1) Features all functions of a normally closed smoke and fire damper;
(2) Can be manually activated from a distance and manually reset to the off position.
(3) Standard rope control distance is 6m (extra lengths available upon request);
4. Automatic Reset Smoke and Fire Damper
(1) Normally in a closed state, upon a fire occurrence, the valve automatically opens when DC24V power is supplied from the control center.
(2) When the pipeline temperature reaches 280°C, the fuse trips, and the valve closes automatically.
(3) Can be manually activated.
(4) After the valve is opened, no manual reset is required. Simply input a DC24V power source, and the valve will automatically reset to its original closed position.
(5) Output valve opening signal, interlock control of smoke exhaust fan start/stop.
