CB is an internationally recognized certification system for the safety of electronic and electrical products.

The CB System is the IECEE International Electrotechnical Commission's organization for electrical product conformity assessment and certification, known as The IEC System for Conformity Assessment.Nformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment is an internationally recognized system established by the CB scheme. This system promotes international trade by allowing member countries participating in the CB scheme to mutually recognize test results for certification or approval.
Most electronic and electrical products must meet various regulations and industry standards to enter different markets. In the past, obtaining product safety registration or certification in various countries was a challenging, time-consuming, and costly process. With the introduction of the CB scheme, this is no longer the case.
The CB certification system is a very convenient procedure, where participating countries can mutually recognize each other's test results. Generally, no additional testing is required in major aspects, except for a few minor differences in detection among the countries.
CB Certification Application Process:
1. Prepare the CB Testing and Certification Application Form and submit the application to the CBTC/CBTL authority.
2. Await review and issuance of the inspection and certification quotation by the agency, then sign the agreement.
3. The applicant company prepares samples for shipment to the CBTL laboratory for testing.
4. After CBTL testing is completed, a conclusion report is issued (default is passing the test; if not, specific rectifications and retesting will be conducted based on the situation).
5. CBTC receives the qualification assessment report issued by CBTL for safety certification.
6. Upon completion of the assessment, issue the CB Certification Certificate and report to the International Electrotechnical Commission.
Required Documents for CB Certification Application:
1. Product Model Image
2. Product Technical Documents: Electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, exploded views, etc.
3. Product User Manual
4. List of key components or raw materials (third-party certification certificates required for core components)
5. Other applicable technical documents.
Is CB certification required with a factory inspection?
No factory audit required; the CB certification is solely for product certification.
