Technical Specifications
Plug-in busbars are suitable for AC three-phase four-wire or five-wire systems, applicable to power supply and distribution with frequencies of 50~60Hz, rated currents of 100A~6300A, and rated voltages below 690V. They are particularly suitable for low-voltage distribution systems in industrial factories, mines, and for power supply systems in high-rise commercial-residential buildings, hotels, etc.
Common Types
In power systems, busbars connect various current-carrying branches in the distribution equipment, serving the functions of concentrating, distributing, and transmitting electrical energy. Busbars are generally categorized into the following three types based on their shape and structure:
Hard Busbars: Includes rectangular busbars, circular busbars, tubular busbars, etc.
Soft Busbars: Includes aluminum stranded wire, copper stranded wire, steel-core aluminum stranded wire, oversized hollow conductors, etc.
Enclosed busbars: Including common box busbars, phase-separated busbars, etc.

Performance aspect
Busbars are made of copper or aluminum strips, offering high current density, low resistance, and minimal skin effect, eliminating the need for derating. Low voltage drop translates to reduced energy loss, saving on user investment. As for cables, due to their multi-strand fine copper cores, they have a larger cross-sectional area than busbars of the same current rating. Moreover, their severe skin effect reduces the current rating, increases voltage drop, and tends to overheat. High energy loss in the lines leads to quicker aging.

The metal enclosed shell of the busbar channel can protect the busbar from mechanical or animal damage. Installing the unit into the power distribution system is very safe, as the shell can be grounded as a whole, providing a very reliable grounding. In contrast, the PVC sheath of the cables is prone to mechanical and animal damage, and the power supply must be cut off before installing the cables, as any errors can be dangerous, especially when the cables need to be grounded on-site. Unreliable grounding increases the risk.
Installation aspect
Busbars are composed of many segments, each short and lightweight. Therefore, installation can be quickly completed with a small team. There are many standard components and stock available for the busbars, allowing for fast shipment and saving on on-site working time. The compact "sandwich" structure reduces electrical space, freeing up more room for commercial use, such as renting out or as public spaces. Installing cables, however, is a challenging task. This is because individual cables are often very heavy, requiring collaboration from many people and taking a considerable amount of time to complete. Additionally, due to the cable's bending radius, more installation space is needed.
Line Optimization
By utilizing busbars, we can combine certain branch circuits and convert them into a single large busbar using junction boxes. This simplifies the electrical system, achieving lower current values with more strands. Consequently, it saves on engineering costs and is easier to maintain. Traditional cable layouts make electrical systems overly complex, large, and difficult to maintain, thereby wasting engineering expenses and installation space.
Scalability
For busbars, system expansion can be achieved by adding or altering several sections, with a high reusability rate. However, in most cases, cables cannot be reused due to varying lengths and routes. To expand the system, we need to purchase new cables to replace the old ones.
Plug-in switch box
The plug-in type switch box can be used with air-type busbars. No additional accessories are required during installation. The plug-in components are crucial; they are made of copper alloy stamping, heat-treated for enhanced elasticity, and tin-plated for surface treatment, ensuring stable contact ability even after over 200 plug-ins. The housing is equipped with a grounding point to ensure reliable grounding. Inside, the switch circuit is set up, using a plastic case circuit breaker to provide overload and short-circuit protection for the connected circuit's capacity.
