For a tower diameter between 400-500mm, the grid plate must be placed on a support ring that is welded onto the tower wall.

For tower diameters of 900-1200mm, the grate is made up of three pieces. For tower diameters of 1400-1600mm, the grate consists of four pieces. However, regardless of how many pieces the grate is divided into, it must be placed on a support ring or block welded to the tower wall, and the support ring for large towers also requires a support plate. Each segmented grate piece is 300-400mm wide. Each piece should not be too heavy to facilitate loading and unloading through the access hole.
