Insulating flanges are a general term for pipe flange joints that meet the sealing requirements for buried steel pipelines and the electrical insulation requirements for electrochemical corrosion protection engineering.
It includes a pair of steel flanges, an insulating seal between the flanges, flange fasteners, and insulated fastener parts, as well as a pair of steel short tubes that have been welded separately to each of the flanges.
1. Possesses the electrical insulation properties required for underground pipeline electrochemical corrosion protection engineering.
2. Capable of reliable operation over a long period at the required temperatures and pressures of the conveying medium, with sufficient strength and sealing performance.
3. Reasonably structured for easy assembly, disassembly, and part replacement.
The composition of the old-style Type I insulated flange involves adding a flange insulation pad between two welding flat flanges and installing insulation sleeves and insulation bolt pads on the fastening bolts. The flange insulation pads are made from oil-resistant rubber asbestos board, chloroprene rubber board, fabric-based chloroprene rubber board, and polytetrafluoroethylene, among other materials. The insulation sleeves and bolt insulation pads are made from high-strength phenolic laminated board and compressed tube. Its features include: good stiffness, stable insulation performance, and requires a dedicated installation position for specific installation.
