Stainless steel channel bars are long strips of steel with a groove-shaped cross-section. Like I-beams, stainless steel channel bars come in two types: standard and light. The model and specification are indicated by the millimeter measurements of web height (h) × flange width (b) × web thickness (d), such as a 120×53×5 channel bar, which means a web height of 120mm. To differentiate, an 'a', 'b', 'c', etc., is added to the model number on the right. Typically, the model of stainless steel channel bars is indicated by the centimeter measurement of the web height, such as the above channel bar being referred to as the 12# channel bar. The specification range of channel bars is 5-40#. Requirements for including and marking are to be executed according to GB2101-80.
(1) Stainless Steel Common Channel Section (GB707-88) Main Application: Common channel sections are primarily used in building structures, vehicle manufacturing, and other industrial structures, often in conjunction with I-beams.
(2) Stainless Steel Light I-Beams (YB164-63) Hot-Rolled light I-beams are steel sections with wider flanges and thinner webs, offering better economic benefits than standard hot-rolled I-beams. Their specifications range from 5# to 40#. In 1966, the冶标specified the range as 10# to 40#. Main applications: used in construction and steel frameworks, etc.
Common stainless steel profiles used in stainless steel production include: 201, 202, 301, 304, 321, 316, 316L. Special materials are typically customizable.
